Version History
Inspect project history, restore an available earlier version, and review it before publishing.
The History panel shows supported changes recorded for the project. You can inspect an entry and restore an available earlier version.
Accessing History
- Open your project in the AI Editor
- Go to Workspace → History
Understanding Your History
Commit Timeline
Your history shows a chronological list of all changes:
- Most recent changes appear at the top
- Up to 50 commits are displayed
- Timestamps show when each change was made
Change Types
Each entry shows who made the change:
| Badge | Description |
|---|---|
| AI | Changes made by the AI assistant |
| Editor | Content updates made in the CMS or editor |
| No badge | Manual commits or other changes |
Current Version
The latest version is marked with a green “Current” badge, indicating what’s currently live on your site.
Restoring Previous Versions
If you need to undo changes or go back to an earlier version:
- Find the version you want to restore in the history list
- Click the Restore button next to that version
- Review the confirmation dialog
- Click Confirm to restore
What Happens When You Restore
- Your site reverts to the selected version
- A new entry is added to your history (so you can undo the restore if needed)
- Publish the restored version when you want it to replace the live site
Safety Features
- Confirm the target: Check the version and affected files before restoring
- History entry: A restore creates another project history entry
- Review before publishing: Open the restored preview and test it
Best Practices
